My kitchen window is my balcony

The cats are fighting and screaming like crazy under my window. I'm sitting on the window sill, laptop on my lap wondering around iTunes! Let's see who's louder - animals or little apple!

Yes! The summer has arrived to Estonia.

Btw: No mosquitos in my garden!

Religion

I decided to go to the library, not the one next to my home but far far away the university one. On the hallway I saw 2 South-Korean students. As I'm the best friend of all erasmus and it's obviously written on my face they came to talk to me about... religion. In the University! That's something new for me!
They were talking about one prophet who knew all about all the disasters in the world basically! That does not make me pray nor believe! It made them tough.

So I quickly updated their date with statistics that in Estonia only 16% of population believe in something, other 84% just don't care. To be clear I said I'm part of the majority and wished them luck!
I haven't seen so sad faces for a long time...
I'm sorry!

The Morning After

So I  opened my eyes, took a minute to think is it worth and do I dare to turn my head or even stand up. I faced the reality and stood up. Went to the kitchen. Sat next to the fridge on the only chair that I have there. I was drinking ice cold ice-tea and watched the plastic cup that had an ashtray function yesterday on the other side of the window. It was snowing as well! And I was warming up the pasta leftovers.  Stuffed my face with this blessed italian food and tried to remember everything from the last night!

Alcohol is my friend, hangover isn't. HELP!

Some things take a second, some 1.5 year :D

Almost 1.5 years ago before going to Spain I had a birthday party that was at the same time my Farewell :D And I bought a camera, not digital, the old-school disposable one-time kind of, that you take the photos, break the camera and take it to the photo shop... You know... And now I did it! 5 more days and I'm gonna see what's on the photos. Everybody used it, I didn't :D

Back in ESTONIA

A short story that explains why I'm never online in skype or FB chat or msn or wherever... Perdoname!

First 2 weeks back at "home" have been just crazyfast! Basically I'm trying to get a life. Easy to say - so hard to do!

Back in Vigo I needed 2 days to find a flat, in Las Palmas it took a bit more - 3 days maybe. And here I am, 3rd week, looking for an apartment in Tallinn city center. Impossible! Dunno is it really so damn bad timing or what :S I'm still positive, i will find it soon!

Then there are new business projects and ideas, my NGO, university, sport, AEGEE, ESN etc...
I'm so excited about the erasmus in here, i wanna meet spanish speaking people because i already feel that I'm starting to forget... My estonian is coming back :) although I still speak sometimes in a very weird way, making sentences that don't exist!

Being back feels so weird! I'm a freak! In a elevator when i wanna go to the ground floor, I wanna press 0 button, but well here it is the 1.st floor not 0. Hahhaa, i never thought about it before. Once i stepped out in a parking-house :) And thought whatafuck! In in the supermarkets I have the same feeling like first weeks in Spain, I don't know what to buy :) And I'm calculating all the time, have to convert the kroon's to euros to understand is it cheap or expensive here!

But it's alright! Life is still beautiful! Freezing but beautiful!
This saturday I have a comeback celebration party! I wanna see everybody! :)

And nightlife here is "not bad at all". (Pole paha!) A little example: shots in the bar "Noorus" or warm-up at Heidi's place!

Gran Canaria is the best place in Europe because it's Africa!

13 months! 13 months deputamadre! That's how long I have ruled around in Spain :D
11 months in Vigo and 2 additional in Gran Canaria. Wouldn't change it for anything!

I know I was a lazy writer but not because there wasn't nothing to talk about, there was just so much action going on.
Surfing every day with my dear board. Btw the size is 6'8. And it's red :D Now it belongs to Cesar, my flatmate. Lucky him!

At first I wanted to visit more islands (there's 7 of them and some extra small, La graciosa for example that has to be graciosa but I wanna see it with my own eyes) but days flew by so fast and money even faster. So thanks to my other flatmate German and his superkind family I had awesome time in Tenerife! I ate grapes just from the garden picking by myself :D And mandarins and lemons, i love that climate and exotic fruits!

I also had quality time with Javi and his family in Arinaga. They practicly made me feel like a part of their family and they were feeding me a lot!

Maria and Menxu were the best beach girls and party mates. Also all the other AEGEE realted Canarian people. I already miss them like crazy! I will be back!

The legendary weekend route: Aloha, Delta, Mojo! Damn! I miss those places!

Heidi and Kadri came to visit me for a week so it was a intensive week with no sleep and a lot of parties!

I met Las Palmas erasmus people, reminding me how was our first month in Vigo, everybody a bit lost and a bit worried and struggeling with the language... But having parties every fucking day!

I really felt that Las Palmas is my home. I can live there, some years for sure! So if ther's a job for me I'm gonna continue with the waves. The best season just strarted! And I'm hooked!

In the water

I really started to believe that half of the business that's going on in this island is done while surfing. No really, every day i meet some guys in the water and that's how i know where is the best reggae party on thursday nights. Or yesterday for example one guy was looking for the flat-mates so it's not just small-talk anymore, it's marketing and real-estate!

I like this Canarian style of business :)

Surfboard

So today is really important day of my life. It's the day when Marju bought her first surfboard! I'm really the happiest girl at the moment! You cannot imagine!

Flights are booked

So I'm leaving this lovely island on 27th of September and arrive to Tallinn 28th at 20.45. So my dear friends come and pick me up there. And i don't have anything warm to put on, so some winter-clothes wouldn't hurt probably :D

Wheather in Estonia

I talked to Heidi today and she was basically freezing there in Tallinn. 10 degrees - my gosh! And it's not even September yet! I don't wanna go back!

University

Today my University started, without me of course. It's difficult to be there if you feel like in a holiday and you are 4630 km away. But I'm gonna make it anyways one day, only one moth later, not a big deal, right!

What's goin' on?

Just a little update:

I'm in Las Palmas. Tomorrow I'll be old. So old. I think I have a mid-young-age-crisis :D So just not to stress myself too much, it's going to be my 21 birthday. Again. Like last couple of years :D

Fine is also in Las Palmas. She has a fancy flat. I sleep there when i don't have a place to sleep. That happens often.

Benedetta is also in Las Palmas. She lives in the fancy flat too. With Fine.

Maria & Patricia are in Las Plamas too. They're having a holiday. I live with them now basically on the beach figuratively speaking. Actually we have a little apartment. Nothing special!

I'm still looking for a supercheap surfboard!

Keep my feet on the ground and my head in the clouds

The last day of July is the day when I went to run on the beach and I saw sunset and surfers in the sea and footprints on the sand and I listened the best music ever and I felt so good. So basically I made my to do list:

1. Buy a board!

That's it for now! If anybody feels like rich or so, I can share my account number! I'm officially broke :(

My number 1 song right now:

First days

In Vigo-city:
I packed at least 3 days. And i packed until the very last minute. And still managed to forgot some shit... How to put 1 year of erasmus life into 2 bags? That's impossible I say! Throwing away so many things, you have to be strong personality!
Anyways despite of all my little efforts in the packing world I still managed to have way too much extra kilos, so finally my hand-luggage was too heavy for my two not-so-strong-anymore-because-of-erasmus arms.
Me and Fine - we still managed!

In Gran Canaria, Las Palmas there was a nice flat with the cute guys waiting for us. Couchsurfing in the flat with the million-dollar view from the balcony to the ocean! We were supposed to stay there 2 night, well, we stayed more...
Until one afternoon when we found a flat for Fine! Now I'm sleeping here one more night before crazy Summer University starts.

Today we went to the Playa de Ingles. The most touristic spot in the whole island. You're not able to see so many red german people in Deutchland as you can see on that specific beach :D Waves were good though! Don't have a board still though!

Las Palmas de Gran Canaria

We are here! It's awesome :D Me and Fine!
Coming here is the best thing that one can do after the Erasmus. We're not depressed or anything, just happy!
There still is life after the Erasmus!
